Creating a new task view

- [Instructor] Windows 10 features Task View, which lets you organize your workflow into several different desktops. It's a great productivity booster than you might not use or even be aware of. The secret lurks down here on the taskbar. This weird icon, thing. If you don't see this button then right click the taskbar and choose Show Task View Button. Click that button to open Task View. You see a list of available desktops and windows open in the current desktop. Finally, you see a list of recently accessed files. I've organized my desktops, or task views, by project. So, I'm recording in desktop one and desktop two contains a web browser and my email app, and desktop three contains a game. I can choose any desktop to switch to to access the open windows there without disturbing the action in another desktop. You can also switch desktops by pressing and holding the Control and Windows keys and then using the left and right arrow keys to switch. So Control + Windows + Left to move to the previous desktop and Control + Windows + Right to move to the next desktop. The keyboard shortcut to view the task view list is Windows + Tab. In the task view, you can click the plus icon to create a new desktop and you see the new desktop here. To remove the new desktop, or any desktop, just press the X button to close it. To organize your windows, move to a desktop with open windows, such as desktop three here which has the game, and then you can drag that window to another desktop to place it there instead. Click the desktop to switch and here I am on desktop two and then desktop three is now empty. Using Task View is optional. I didn't bother with it for years after I upgraded to Windows 10. Now I use it all the time, keeping my multiple projects organized by desktop, which saves on window clutter. I highly recommend it.
