Copying text between apps

- [Instructor] Graphical operating systems have been around for decades now but few people know how to use this simple trick. Drag the mouse to move. Ctrl + drag the mouse to copy. the mouse pointer changes to clue you in to which way you're using the mouse. In this Word document, say I want to move a paragraph around in the text. Triple click to select a paragraph in Word, then point the mouse at the selected block, and drag it to move. This image can also be manipulated just as text is. Click to drag the image, but this time as I drag I'm going to press and hold the control key. You see the mouse pointer change there. Then release the mouse button and there's the copy. You can still copy and paste using the keyboard or a menu but these tricks work quicker when your hand is already on the mouse, and they're especially effective if what you're manipulating is only on one screen.
