- [Host] To remove an additional wire from your computer consider a Wi-Fi Radio as a valid upgrade. This is the same hardware feature found in laptops and small format PCs, which all have built-in Wi-Fi. Two options for adding a Wi-Fi internet adapter to a desktop PC or USB and an expansion card. The USB option is less expensive and easier to install. Just connect the Wi-Fi gizmo to a USB port. I recommend using a port on the back of the computer where it's out of the way. Complete the software installation, if any and you're ready to connect. A Wi-Fi expansion card is more expensive but less likely to be removed accidentally. It's installed internally providing that the computer is large enough to have expansion slots which most larger desktop models are.
