Prebuilt MCP servers
- [Instructor] Every enterprise uses several third party products like databases, ticketing systems, document hubs, and SaaS services. Does this mean that they need to build an MCP server from scratch for all of them? Fortunately not. There are prebuilt MCP servers available that are ready to be deployed and used. Several data and services providers are building out MCP servers for their offerings, so they can be instantly integrated into Gen AI workflows. In addition, other third parties are also building open-source MCP servers for popular databases and cloud services. So, there are few options available for any popular data service. When possible, it's recommended to use a prebuilt MCP server. It's recommended to use the server that is provided by the same vendor who makes the data source product. If not, try available open-source MCP servers. This GitHub Repo has a list of available MCP servers. Links to their content are also provided here. Please take time to explore this list and evaluate if they can be used for your use case.
