- Way back when I helped the company called iStockphoto, so iStockphoto was in the business of democratizing stock photography at the time. If you bought a photo, you went to Getty and you pay three, four or 500 bucks, and iStockphoto was going to change that and you could pay 20 bucks. And it came from not someone who won a Pulitzer Prize in photography, but a prosumer. Someone who took a great shot, uploaded it of I don't know, bears catching salmon, and you want a bears catching salmon picture, and you couldn't pay three or four or 500 bucks from the National Geographic photographer but somebody with DSLR caught this great picture uploaded is 20 bucks. And so this company is from Canada. I met the co-founders at a venture capital conference in Banff. And of all things, we got to know each other because of hockey.
