- [Presenter] We can't foresee the green jobs of the future by diving into the concept of low carbon economy and how the process of transitioning to low carbon economy would likely change how businesses operate and the talent needed to make these changes effectively. A low carbon economy is an economic system that is based on significantly reduced greenhouse gas emissions. In a low carbon economy, low carbon alternatives to fossil fuels, cleaner, more efficient solutions with short and long-term environmental and economic benefits are all a part of the equation. Why is the transition to low carbon economy everyone's business? In 2015, close to 200 countries and European Union have joined the Paris Agreement, a legally binding international treaty.
