Customizing legends in Ladybug
We spent some time in another video setting up a shadow study with Ladybug. And the results came out great except for this legend that was generated by default through the Direct Sun Hours component. Since I'm using this to plan for landscape design, it's really not so useful to see the total number of hours for my analysis period. I'd rather see the number of hours per day. So let's take a look at how we would customize a legend in Ladybug. In Grasshopper, I've got 0060-ladybug-legend-begin.gh open, and in Rhino, I've got ladybug-sunpath.3dm open. So this definition is very similar to what we've done in another video. Some key differences here from that Direct Sun Hours component, I have attached a Mesh and a Geometry component to the mesh in legend outputs respectively. And this is nice because it lets me toggle on and off, each one individually. So if I wanted to hide the current legend, I can right click on that Geometry component and just disable preview.
