Adding motion to your typography projects is a great way to communicate your message, an extra punchy way to tell your story. Movement engages your viewers dramatically, whether on social media, online sites, broadcast media, on streaming media, or on the big screen. Always keep your viewer in mind. Older people or children might need the type in your motion graphics to be on screen for a bit longer or to be larger. As a designer using motion to animate your type, there are many decisions and possibilities. I like this simple promo. Remember that you are designing time-based media. You need to think about a number of aspects. How long will my type be on screen? How will it enter and exit the screen? What actions and effects will my type undergo? How will it interact with other moving elements, including possible live action footage? Does it need to respond to a soundtrack? Does my type in motion have to fit into a specific time slot?
