Welcome back, everyone. In Google Workspace, managing users effectively is about more than just creating accounts. To scale securely and stay organized, you need structure, and that is where Organizational Units or OUs come in. An Organizational Unit is a way to group users based on common characteristics, like department, role, location, or access needs. At its heart, an OU is like a digital filing cabinet. Instead of having a single massive list of all the users, computers, and groups in your network, OUs allow you to create logical groupings. Think of it like setting up folders on your computer to organize your files. Just as you would not dump every document into one giant folder, you would not want to manage your entire digital domain without the structure that OUs provide.
