Setting up your domain
- [Instructor] Before you can use any Google Workspace services, you must first verify that you own the domain to which the Workspace account is associated. Then set up Gmail so that email addresses within your domain will be received through Gmail. Workspace setup will guide you directly to this step after completing billing setup. First, you'll be asked to select your domain host. If your host is not detected automatically, choose them from the dropdown list and select continue. If your domain is not listed, select "My Domain uses a different host," and then select continue. Either way, you'll proceed to options for verifying your domain. This process involves making a backend edit that Google can verify. If you've already purchased the domain through Google's partners, verification may already be taken care of for you.
