Migrating data to Google Workspace
- [Instructor] If your organization already has email and calendar services, you'll have data that will need to be migrated to Google Workspace. While you could start from scratch with an empty email archive and a blank calendar, you and your users will most likely want to have their past, and particularly, future email and calendar data available. Google provides a data migration service which moves your email from your current mail server to Gmail. If you're logged in as a super admin, you'll find this in the admin console under data, data import & export, data migration. For email, the Data Migration Service works with Microsoft Services, IMAP servers, existing Gmail accounts, and other existing Workspace accounts. First, indicate the migration source, which is the type of source server from which you're importing.
