Change a value field’s summary operation
- [Instructor] Most data lists use summarize using pivot tables will have some sort of financial or personnel data. That could be sales or hours worked, which means that you'll usually want to find the sum of those values in the list. You're not limited to adding values together, though. You can choose from several summary calculations and you also have the ability to change the type of value shown in the data area. In this movie, I'll show you how to change what is displayed in the Values area. And my sample file is 01_05_Summary, which you can find in the Chapter One folder of your exercise files collection. I'm on the Pivot Table Two worksheet and here I have a small pivot table that shows actual labor expenses for four projects for the years 2016 and 2017.
