- [Instructor] Next up we're going to create a cloud SQL instance. This will be used for hosting relational databases in Google Cloud. And you can see I've already created one instance cause it does take about, oh, 5 to 15 minutes. Depends on what you create. But we'll do this cooking show style. So I'm going to click the create instance button here in the web UI. And the first and most important choice is the database engine. Currently available are Open Source MySQL, Open Source PostgreSQL, or licensed SQL Server. It's important for you to understand that SQL Server is a commercial product and you would need to have an appropriate license in addition to paying for the charges of having the cloud service. So there would be like double charges. So the reason you do SQL Server is you're using some of the features that are available in SQL Server.
