- [Narrator] If you cannot afford to conduct your own primary research or purchase secondary market research reports, government websites can indeed be valuable sources of information about global markets. The US Commercial Service, part of the International Trade Administration or ITA, within the US Department of Commerce provides market intelligence, trade data, and export assistance to US companies. Their website offers country commercial guides, market research reports, industry snapshots and trade events information. Along the same lines, US embassies and consulates in foreign countries often maintain websites with information for US businesses interested in exporting or investing in those markets. These websites may include market overviews, trade statistics, business directories, and contact information for local trade associations.
