Working with Visual Task Boards
- [Instructor] Do you wish you had a visual superpower to manage your work in ServiceNow? Then get ready to explore Visual Task Boards or VTBs, which provide an interactive graphical interface for managing and collaborating on lists, forms and task records. Using cards and lanes, VTBs offer combined style board enabling teams to collaborate, track progress and manage workloads. You can create guided boards for a data-driven process, freeform boards that display a variety of information or flexible boards that combine both types. Let's start by creating a data-driven board. Suppose you want to monitor and progress all active incidents through their lifecycle while working on their priorities. Select the incident table with the state for the vertical lane and priority for the swimlane. Next, you define the active filter, and here it is, all active incidents presented in a single screen and neatly organized. You can hide a lane if you will not track it for a while.
