Welcome to Lesson 7, Career Advice and Gaining Experience. Probably a fun lesson for sure, but also it's important to understand that you can go in a lot of different directions with your career. So, get a lot of advice. Get advice from a lot of different folks, not just me, a whole bunch of different folks. And understand to go and get advice from folks who are doing what you want to be doing, right? Don't necessarily talk to folks. It doesn't hurt to talk to folks who aren't doing what you're doing and get some good career advice, but it also does help to go and talk to folks who are doing specifically the role that you're looking to do, because then they could tell you about what they went through to get there and how you feel after that conversation may or change your mind or it may catapult you further into it like it did mine.
