Welcome to getting started in IT support, core skills and career pathways. My name is Jason Gooley and in this course we're going to be covering all kinds of things to help you on your journey to become an IT support technician. We're going to cover the roles and responsibilities of an IT support technician and what you're going to need to know to achieve that goal and be successful in that career path. The next thing that we're gonna cover is troubleshooting fundamentals and safety considerations. Things you need to keep in mind when it comes to troubleshooting, the situations you may be in as far as environmental, as well as even potentially hurting yourself on a device because it might be heavy or sharp. We're then gonna cover talking about IT mentoring and what you need to do to not only get a mentor, but maybe give back and become a mentor as well other folks going for this particular path in their career.
