- [Narrator] The workforce and the workplace continue to undergo significant changes. With increased globalization, comes an increasingly diverse workforce. There are five generations currently in the workplace. Traditionalists, baby boomers, Gen X, Millennials, Gen Z, with Millennials and Gen Z, making up the majority of the generational cohorts. Add to that gender, race, and ethnicity, abilities and disabilities, neurodiversity, LGBTQ, diversity of thought, and many other attributes, and you're looking at an intricate mosaic. As a result, there is a compelling business case that the seat and the table need to change to give greater access to this new generation of diverse talent that have not historically been represented at the table.
