- All right, so let's get started here by taking a look at ChatGPT. Now, ChatGPT is probably currently the most popular model that's used for just doing basic generative AI tasks and it provides a conversational interface for doing so, as we'll see in a minute. Just some of the basic stats for ChatGPT so that we can know how it compares with things like GitHub Copilot and Google Gemini, which we're going to take a look at next. The first thing to know about ChatGPT is that it has a free tier, like many tools out there, but it also has, a plus tier they call it, which is currently $20 per month. Now, personally I found that it's been well worth the money for the plus tier. It just gives you better access to those things.
