Hands-on exercise: Perform campaign analysis with AI tools
- [Instructor] For this demo, we're stepping into the analytics side of AI. We've done a lot of content and workflow work so far, but this one shows us how to use Copilot inside Excel to make sense of campaign data quickly and confidently. Even if you're not a numbers person, this is where AI can give you a big strategic lift. We'll still use the Microsoft GOAL format, but this time for an insight request. The output isn't copy as it's been historically in this course, it's analysis. We're going to load up a simple Excel sheet with open rates, click data, and conversions from a fictional campaign, and ask Copilot to summarize the findings. This can be data pulled from your CRM, ESP, or analytics stack. The data doesn't have to be perfectly manicured. Copilot and the other leading Gen AI tools are surprisingly forgiving as long as you label your columns clearly. You'll see how Copilot can look at the raw data and generate a plain English analysis.
