The future of work is not human versus AI. It is humans working with AI. That means leaders need to think carefully about how work is designed. AI can generate ideas, summarize information, draft documents, analyze data, automate routine steps and help people move faster. Humans bring judgment, context, ethics, creativity, empathy, taste, accountability. The real value comes from combining these strengths. Think of AI as a copilot for knowledge work. A marketer might use AI to generate campaign ideas, then apply human insight to choose the message that fits the brand and the audience. A lawyer might use AI to summarize documents, then apply professional judgment to assess risk.
