When you implement generative AI, you need two horizons. The first horizon is quick wins. These are use cases that can create value quickly with manageable risks and limited complexity. Examples might include summarizing documents, drafting internal communications, improving meeting notes, supporting customer service agents, speeding up research, or helping teams find information more easily. Quick wins are useful because they build confidence. They help people see what AI can do in the real world. They also create momentum, which is vital in any transformation. But quick wins are not the same as strategy. If all you do is chase easy productivity gains, you may miss the bigger opportunities. So the second horizon is a long-term transformation.
