Draft emails with Gemini for Google Workspace
Are you tired of staring at a blank email draft, struggling to find the right words? Say goodbye to being overwhelmed by email, and hello to your new secret weapon, Gemini for Google Workspace. Whether you're a busy executive, or simply someone who wants to make email less of a chore, I'll show you exactly how to craft effective prompts in Gemini to get all the results you want, and customize those drafts to fit your unique voice. So what are you waiting for? Let's transform your email game. All right, folks, so really excited today to talk to you about how you can draft emails using Gemini for Google Workspace. Now, the first thing you're going to notice when looking inside your Gmail inbox is that you're going to have a lot of different options to use Gemini. The first one I want to show you is when you click on "Compose", you're going to get a prompt that pops up that tells you to create a brand new message. At the bottom part of the screen on the left-hand side, you see "Help me write." And from here, I could say, "Help me write an email congratulating my nephew for graduating." And just like that, after hitting Enter, I get a nice email, and from here, I can actually go ahead and refine it by clicking on the dropdown arrow to make it more formalized. And if I click on "Formalize," it changes the content of the message. And then if you really want to get to making it shorter, you also can do that by clicking on "Shorter." And just like that, for those of you who don't like to say too much, you can go on to insert that prompt. The next thing I want to talk to you about is also right within Gmail. If you click the "Ask Gemini" icon in the top right hand corner, you're going to see a brand new slide-over interface. Now, depending on when you're watching this video, this may have changed or may not be available to you yet, but once you get access to it, you can use Gemini no matter which screen you're on. And in this case, I'm going to go ahead and say, "Show me my unread emails." And as soon as I click that suggestion, I hit Enter, and you're going to see my email inbox, "Show me all the emails that I have not read this week." Pretty cool, huh? The next thing, if I go ahead and click on these more options by clicking the three dots, I can get more suggestions and you could keep going on and on. So for a lot of things in the past that you may have to think about doing before you typed it in, whether that be using a search within Gmail or using Google Search, you can now get a lot of suggestions right within the Ask Gemini chat box. And if I want to find attachments, I could do that just by clicking on "Find attachments," and no emails will match that request. So hopefully this gives you some good insight on how you can use Gemini to write emails and find the data you're looking for, while also giving you some suggestions on improving your workflow.
