- [Akhil] Hey there, in this video, let's go over the prerequisites required to do well in this course. To be successful in this course, you need an intermediate level understanding of security and its various aspects like OSINT, Recon, code and web vulnerabilities, threat detection, malware analysis, penetration testing, and a basic understanding of technologies like Linux and Kali Linux as well. You also need an understanding of the popular tools used with Kali Linux. While we won't be using any Linux or Kali Linux in this course, the only reason I've mentioned that you need to know the tools that come as part of a distribution like Kali Linux is because if you've used those tools, you'll have a good understanding of their use cases in pen testing, or finding vulnerabilities in code, applications, and systems, and that's going to be essential to this course.
