Transposing notes
- [Instructor] Once you finish a score, you can easily change the key without having to create a whole new score from scratch. Let's look at how you can transpose a score and a selection within a score. So I've got the transpose start file open, and let's start with the key signature tool, and that's the one that looks like the key signature of B flat. So I'll click to select that, and then I'm going to click to select the first measure. To transpose a portion of this score, all I need to do is double click in my selection there and that brings up the key signature dialogue. Now, the top part of this should look familiar. We saw this in the setup wizard. So you can either grab the little scroll bar here and drag up to go to sharp keys or down to go to flat keys, or you can click the up arrow to take away one flat at a time or add one sharp at a time, and the down arrow would do the opposite.
