- [Instructor] If you've ever migrated data from one FileMaker file to another, you know it can be a pretty huge time commitment. It requires you to import each table individually, and sometimes in a specific order. Now, there's a couple different reasons why you might need to migrate data from one file to another. The most common is probably if you ever run into damaged files, you maybe have created a clone as part of your automated backup on FileMaker Server, and you want to get that data from your production file that was damaged over into a clone so that you can put it back into production. The most common example, however, is when you've made changes to the layout, schema, or scripting on the production version of your file, and you want to have a new version.
