Learn the 3/4 view proportions of a skull
- Let's build the skull from the three quarter view, highlighting the key landmarks. Creating a three-quarter portrait, with accurate proportions can be challenging, but my simple system will help you relax and take it step by step. Artists have been drawing the skull in the three-quarter view for centuries. And this is a really beautiful example of that. We're going to try it together and I'm going to show you a couple of really important aspects to remember as you're beginning a three-quarter portrait. So a three-quarter portrait, basically means that the skull is turned away from you a little bit. It's no longer right in front and symmetrical. So we're still working with ovals here. We can create a frontal oval for the region of the face. And I like to do that softly to start with, and then an intersecting oval for the region of the cranium.
