- [Instructor] We just made some simple shapes. Now let's take it a little bit further, and what we're going to do is we're actually going to draw this little house, which means we're going to create some simple shapes and combine them together. So with your design file open, come down to the bottom here. And what I want you to do is zoom in. Zoom in pretty far. If you zoom in far enough, you're actually going to see this little cross sectioning here. This is the grid. You can snap to this, and by default, it will snap to it. To be able to tell if something is going to snap, and here's what I mean by snap. Why don't you do this? We're going to draw a rectangle first, and then I'll kind of walk you through that. Come to the rectangle tool, come out here. And if you start dragging and drawing, if you notice that it's actually stutter-stepping, like going clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk, clunk to the pixel grid, that means it's snapping. Mine's not.
