- [Joseph] Tools like Figma are great for designing and prototyping user experiences. Until recently, a designer wasn't quite able to relay certain actions in a realistic way across a Figma prototype. We'll create a set of numeric and Boolean variables within a Figma design document and organize them using collections, groups, and modes. We'll then use both design and prototype workspaces to either bind those variables to design elements, like text values or object visibility, or to bind actions upon user interactions, to set variable values, make conditional choices based on those values, and calculate new values. I'm Joseph Labrecque, and I've spent most of my career at the intersection of design and development across a variety of platforms.
