Digital tools make our work faster, but they also come with risks. Whether you're clocking in through an app, signing digital forms, or messaging with your supervisor, you're sharing data. It's important to know how to protect it. First, know what counts as personal or sensitive data. That includes your full name, employee ID, contact info, and anything connected to your bank account or health status. Don't share that information over unsecured channels like unfamiliar websites or in messages with someone you don't know. Second, be careful with passwords. Use strong ones, don't reuse the same password everywhere, and avoid writing them down on paper that someone can find. Third, know what you're clicking. A weird link in a text or an unexpected attachment in an email — don't open it. It might be a phishing attempt designed to steal your login or personal information.
