Just plain fun
- [Instructor] All designers love to play with new technology and try new things. Sometimes, just for fun. Type designers love to play around too. Alejandro Paul used AI, that's Artificial Intelligence, not Adobe Illustrator, to have fun with letter shapes. Here are some examples of his creative letter play. These letters are based on Paul's own type designs. Then he has used AI to try variations. AI offers almost unlimited ways to vary your own letter forms or a chosen typeface, or to start completely from scratch. Here are two of Alejandro Paul's animated scrolling text, also based on his own type designs. When I think of expressive typography that is just plain fun, one designer seems to be having a blast, Zipeng Zhu. Zipeng's expressive designs pop off the screen with mesmerizing color and movement.
