- One element of successful executive decision-making 2 is clearly articulating who's going to be involved 3 in making the decision. 4 Not everyone has a seat at the table, 5 even though they want one or think they should be involved. 6 Clearly define who's involved 7 and how the decision is going to be made. 8 Explain the style of decision-making you're going to use. 9 There are four decision-making styles you can use: 10 autocratic, where there's one person making the decision; 11 democratic, where the organization 12 is going to vote on the decision; 13 participatory, where it's a small body of people 14 who make the decision and other people have input; 15 and then consensus-based decision making, 16 where everyone has to agree before we make a decision. 17 Communicate clearly to the organization 18 who's going to be involved and what their role is 19 in the decision-making process. 20 Will the person be a participant? 21…
