- [Instructor] The Solver Add-In lets you create linear programming models to analyze business problems. In this movie, I will show you how to install the Solver Add-in, if you haven't already, and add a reference to the Solver VBA Library so you don't get errors when you try to run your code. I don't need to work with any specific workbook in this movie. I just need to make sure that Excel is open. I've opened a workbook. And from here, I can go to the File menu, and at the bottom left corner of the program window, I'll click Options. And here to install this Solver Add-in, I need to go to the Add-ins category, and at the bottom, in the Manage list, I need to make sure that Excel Add-ins is selected.
