- [Instructor] So before you continue this course, it's a good idea to know the prerequisites so that you know what you should know. First of all, it's best if you have an intermediate knowledge of Excel. In other words, you should know how to enter data inside cells, you should know how to insert rows and columns and you should also know how to delete them, and you should also know how to sort and filter. The other thing you need to know is that this course is for Excel for Windows, and I'm using the one you get with an M365 subscription. If you're using a Mac or Excel for the Web, the buttons and menus there are quite different, and in fact, some features aren't even available there yet. You might find you can follow along just fine, but if something is missing, it's not your fault. It's just that your version of Excel just doesn't have that functionality yet.
