Create and manage data relationships
- [Instructor] To use Power Pivot, the very first thing we need to do is create a data model. So with Excel open, on a new blank workbook, let's go ahead and select Power Pivot, and then Manage from the data model section. To create a data model, we need to select one of the options under Get External Data. Given that we're looking for a CSV file, we need to select From Other Sources. Scroll down until you find Text File and then click Next. And from the file path section, let's select Browse and make sure that you're working with the exercise file pack for this course, which should be on your desktop. And the file you're looking for is 02_02 BuildingPermits. Once it's selected, click on Open. Make sure that use first row as column headers has been selected, and then click on Finish. Now, the import process may take a couple of moments given that we're working with quite a large dataset, but once you can see success here and the green tick, you're good to continue. Click on Close…
