- [Instructor] Now, we're going to build a workforce planning model. In a workforce planning model, you have two types of data. You have the data about how many people are in your workforce, and then you have the data about the demands that are going to be required of your company. So for instance, if you had several personnel and then you did a survey, you could find out what is the average person being paid per year given a specific position in a specific department. For instance, let's say we surveyed our thousands of employees, and we found that customer support at the entry level was making on average about 54,000 a year. Okay, well, let us say then that you had several projects that you needed to plan for, and these projects could be really grouped into one of three buckets, simple, medium, and complex. So a simple project would look on average like this. So it would need zero HR people, zero finance people, might need one person at sales, but this would be at the management…
