Cell styles are a quick and consistent way to format cells in a visually appealing and professional manner. They can be customized and applied to multiple cells, making it easy to maintain a consistent look and feel across a workbook. In this video, we'll cover what styles are, where to find them, and why you should use them. A cell style is a defined set of formatting characteristics such as fonts and font sizes, cell borders and shading, alignment and number formats. You'll find the built-in styles on the Home tab of the ribbon. In earlier versions of Excel, you'll see the style gallery already expanded in the Home tab. But for 365 users, the dropdown reveals the gallery. And here we see a set of default styles. Now all cells are technically the normal style. In this section we have good, bad, and neutral, which are quick ways to color code data enabling you to apply a cell fill and font color with the click of one button.
