Updating data tables with Power Query
- [Instructor] We're going to go a step further now. I'm going to show you how Dynamic Tables and Microsoft Power Query work together. The latest updates in Microsoft Power Query have made connections between backend raw data and FP&A business and operating models increasingly seamless. Let's take a look up here on our data ribbon. All the way to the left, you see these areas that say Get & Transform Data, as well as Queries & Connections. Now, even though Microsoft doesn't explicitly call this out as being Power Query, this is where those backend data connections and queries take place. All the way here on the left-hand side, you see that this says Get Data, Easily discover, connect, and combine data from multiple sources, then shape and refine it to meet your needs. If I select this dropdown, it gives us all of these various options in terms of where we can grab the data from. From File, I can either grab this from an…
