Creating a basic PivotTable with Copilot
- [Narrator] In the previous video, we explored how recommended pivot tables can help spark ideas for analysis. Now in this lesson, we'll dive in to use Copilot to create pivot tables ourselves. The exercise file for this one is creating-basic-pivottables, which brings us back to the vehicle mileage dataset. Let's fire up Copilot, build our pivot tables, and then see how it stacks up against recommended pivot tables. To get started, I'll ask, "What might be some interesting relationships "I could explore in this dataset using pivot tables?" You might also get some suggested prompts here, like, "Summarizing using PivotTables or charts," or so forth. But I'll write my own and see what we get. And this case, it looks like we get one suggested pivot table. We can add this to the sheet if we wish. I'll go ahead and do that. I'll go back to my original dataset and you'll see we do get some other ideas here. We could explore other options and Copilot could continue giving us some ideas…
