- Let's talk about the new calculation engine that's behind Excel and the new dynamic array functions. We're not going to go into depth, in this course, with the dynamic arrays because they are worthy of entire courses. And in fact, I have a course on dynamic arrays in the LinkedIn Learning Library, as do other authors. So check 'em out. Go deep on this because they are so powerful. But first, let's take a look at the new calculation engine, and then we'll look at specific functions. Okay, let's look at this. Some basic thing that we often need to do. We want to calculate the days between the start and end dates. So here we go. Equals, I'm going to highlight the entire End, and then minus the Start, Enter. Oh, we got a spill error.
