Set up the WiFi Pineapple

- [Instructor] If you're serious about wifi testing work, you'll want to arm yourself with a WiFi Pineapple. These are available directly from the Hak5 website. The WiFi Pineapple is a dedicated hardware device, which runs Linux and OpenWrt and provides a full capability for wireless testing, either directly out of the box or for the more complex testing through a custom software installation. The WiFi Pineapple has been available for some time with the Nano and Tetra being popular early models. It now comes in two models, the Mark VII and the Enterprise version. We'll be taking a look at the Mark VII. These are both based on the PineAP suites of software. The WiFi Pineapple is a versatile tool which can be used to visualize the wifi activity in its area.
