- All right. As we venture deeper into the realm of AI and quantum cryptography, we're witnessing the ushering of an entirely new era where the compelling synergy between these powerful forces will reshape the landscape of cybersecurity and beyond. Why now? I'm here at the NIST government site and they're working on a special project called the Post-Quantum Cryptography Standardization Process. You can see that we're on the cusp of a pending announcement to finalize the algorithm selection process, which is anticipated by early 2025. These developing algorithms don't require us to abandon the current state right now. Rather, they're designed to make those systems resistant against quantum computer attacks. At the publishing of this course, NIST is entering the fourth round of final candidates to see which cryptographic algorithms will be able to withstand quantum cryptoanalysis.
