- [Instructor] Let's talk about up-sampling, the practice of increasing the number of pixels in an image by making up or interpolating additional pixels to fill in the gaps. There's no substitute for starting with an original that is slightly bigger or at the size that you intend to use the image. But in reality, there are times when you have no choice. So let's imagine that we've been supplied by our client an image that's just too small but they really want to use it and nobody can find an original version of that file or a larger version. So here is my version at 100%. Take a look at its document size. I'll hold down my Option or Alt key and click right there. 1,500 by 1,000 pixels. And then we have a version of this at literally half the size. So if I use Image Size, resample is checked. I'll set my unit to percent, and I'll change the width to 200.
