- [Instructor] Let's see how we can convert to gray scale. There are several ways to do this. Firstly, here's how not to do it. Don't come to Mode and choose Gray Scale. That's going to convert your three channel RGB image to a one channel gray scale image. You have no control over how the colors are translated to the gray values. Sometimes the result will be okay. It's okay here, but it could be better. We have the option for more control. So I'm going to undo that. And instead, I'll come and add an adjustment layer, a black and white, non-destructive adjustment layer above my image layer. And when I do that, I have now these color sliders, and I can move these around. Which ones I choose to move is going to depend upon the colors in the original image. Obviously, I'm going to affect the most change with this image by moving the red slider. Or I can use one of these presets. Okay, so let's say that I like this result.…
