- [Instructor] So far, we've explored a variety of free AI tools that work alongside Excel, but now, let's shift our focus to one that's built right into Excel itself, Analyze Data. It's available in most recent versions of Excel at no extra cost and is in many ways a precursor to Copilot. Let's dive in. For this example, open the exercise file, analyze-data where you'll find a wholesale customer's dataset that may look familiar. Our goal is to generate some AI-driven insights using Analyze Data, which is located right on the home ribbon. Go ahead and click it. You'll notice on the menu some suggested insights, questions you can ask about the data, and even a space to ask your own questions. As I scroll through these suggestions, you'll see that some of them are more useful than others. For example, comparing deli sales by region as a scatterplot, as in the second example, doesn't really make sense because the region number is a category and not a quantity.
