Copilot integrations in Microsoft 365
- If you haven't already noticed, Copilot is the name for Microsoft's AI powered assistant, wherever it is. Copilot appears in many Microsoft apps beyond what we've already covered. Microsoft Outlook keeps mail, contacts and calendar organized. In Outlook, I can use Copilot to summarize and extract key points from email threads, draft full length replies based on the thread context, receive feedback on my email drafts and find messages, people and events. Stop scrolling and start asking for help. Microsoft Loop is a collaborative workspace that integrates teams content and tasks across various apps and all your connected devices. Copilot Inside Loop will draft page content or summarize an existing page or rewrite existing content in Microsoft's Edge browser, I have the co-pilot sidebar, of course, but I also have co-pilot built into many places in which I'm typing text. For example, I have a newsletter called Release Notes. I create the newsletter in Mailchimp. When I'm drafting the newsletter in Mailchimp's editor, I can highlight text and use Copilot to suggest revisions to my writing. Look for the Copilot icon to appear as you're working in many different web apps inside Edge browser. I can't wrap this up without mentioning the Copilot Assistance built into Microsoft Forms. I don't know about you, but I've been creating surveys from scratch for a very long time. Now, inside a new form, Copilot is waiting to create the entire survey. There are example prompts to give me ideas for what's possible. Let's say I'm creating a staff survey to assess improvement points after the end of the school year. Copilot generates a draft survey based on my prompt. in a preview mode. I can remove any questions I don't want, keep the acceptable questions, refresh the generated content, or add more details to fine tune the draft. When the survey is close to complete, I can finalize the questions by choosing keep it. Copilot then finalizes the questions and prompts me to select a theme design. In just a few steps, this survey is ready to share with staff.
