How do you know if you're succeeding? Have you figured out how you will know if you're succeeding? You want to set some real goals for yourself with real numbers, and that could be the number of new clients each month or revenue each month or each quarter. Track meaningful metrics. Sometimes I hear, Oh, we've got all these podcast subscribers or all these social media followers, and I'm thinking, okay, that's great, but are they turning into clients? Can you make them take action or are they just sort of fans? Because I'm here to tell you, enthusiasm does not equal a sale. You'll find out they'll be all kinds of people who are like, Oh, I love what you do. I'm totally signing up. Oh, my gosh. Get all my friends to sign up too. That means nothing until the cheque clears. You must have some definable metrics for yourself and track them to know whether or not you are succeeding in a competitive marketplace.
