- [Instructor] Not everyone who comes across your website is going to opt into your mailing list. I remember when I was looking for a new car. Without having to subscribe to any website, I was already receiving retargeting emails across social media. Retargeting is when you advertise to individuals who have interacted with your business in some way before. Retargeting is not exclusive to those on your mailing list. You can retarget to people who have interacted with you on social media or who have interacted with your website. You can do this across multiple different social media platforms when creating ads, but I'm going to use Facebook just as an example. This is known as Facebook's Ad Manager, also known as Meta Ad Manager. Here you can actually select what source you would like to use when running your advertisement campaigns.
