    An excellent course with a focus on the US economy, the number one economy in a global context. It doesn't cover the last four US recessions that have impacted other countries' economies – inflation problems and the oil price shock of 1990, followed by the dot-com bubble burst in 2001, the subprime mortgage crisis that began in 2007, and the COVID-19 recession that began in 2020. Three days ago, S&P Global Ratings Economics wrote that they expect the U.S. economy to expand 1.9% in 2025. And on a fourth-quarter-over-fourth-quarter basis, we forecast real GDP growth of 1.5% in 2025 (down from 2.5% in 2024) and 1.8% in 2026.
