- Since 2020, over 38% of leaders manage people older than they are, and 40% of people are being supervised by someone younger than they are. These are interesting statistics, but how do they impact your day-to-day work? And what exactly do you need to know? Millennials supervising baby boomers and traditionalists have described these older employees as being skeptical, suspicious, and even resistant to their younger bosses. I would imagine that both fear and egos play a role in this. The number of millennial and Gen Z bosses is only going to grow in the coming years, so we better get a handle on this situation now. In this video, I want to provide you with some basic strategies for successfully supervising employees who are older than you.
